MALLET - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet, LA for Mr. Willie Semien, 72, and Mrs. LouAnna Semien, 65, who entered eternal rest on Monday, March 3, 2014 at their residence in Church Point, LA.
Interment will be at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Mallet, LA. Father Justin Arockiasamy, SVD will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.
Mr. and Mrs. Semien are survived by one son, Joseph Keith Semien of Church Point, LA; one daughter, Sarah Jane Marie of Church Point, and one granddaughter, Asiah Keosha Semien of Rayne, LA. Mr. Semien leaves to mourn his brother in Christ and best friend, Albert L. Simien of Lake Charles, LA and one sister, Mary Doursseaux of Eunice, LA. Cherishing the memory of Mrs. LouAnna are four sisters, Dorothy Lamothe of Sunset, LA, Catherine Allison (Gary), Shirley Collins, and Sharon Collins all of Eunice, LA; three brothers, David Collins (Savannah) of Leonville, LA, Clyde and Darrell Collins (Pamela) both of Church Point and her best friend, JoAnn Semien of Lake Charles, LA. The Semiens also leave to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.
Mr. Semien was preceded in death by his parents Amos Semien and Laura Citizen Semien and one brother Wilson Semien. Mrs. Semien was preceded in death by her parents Lumas Collins and Oreline Papillion Collins.
Mrs. LouAnna was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary St. Lucy Chapter #79 in Church Point, LA. Lady Semien was a member since May 28, 1994 until her time of death. She served as the recording secretary for six years. Mr. and Mrs. Semien were also devoted foster parents.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M.
