LAWTELL - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church of Lawtell for Mr. Claude Peter Bias, 54, who passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at his residence in Opelousas. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Father Justin Arockiasamy will be officiating the services.

Mr. Bias is survived by: his mother, Lugenia Bias of Prairie Rhonde; his fiancée, Theresa Rosette of Opelousas; one son, Claude Payne (Rechelle) of Opelousas; one step son, Clifton Payne of Opelousas; two daughters, Heather Jefferson (Christopher) of Opelousas and Justine Rosette (Carl) of Baton Rouge; two step daughters, Tina Payne and Tessa Pierre, both of Opelousas; four brothers, Clayton Bias and Lawrence Bias, both of Lawtell, Randy Bias of Opelousas and Ronald Bias of Baton Rouge; six sisters, Rosa Mae Victorian of Lake Charles, Mary Jane Jason of Lawtell, Gloria Chretian of Opelousas, Barbara Jason of Baton Rouge, Lou Anna Babineaux of Lafayette and Sandy Roan of Carencro; 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Leonard Bias, Sr.; two brothers, John Norris and Leonard Bias, Jr.; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Darjean and Joyce Duresseau.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church.
