PORT BARRE - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Mary's Baptist Church in Port Barre, LA for Ms. Sherline Durio Pope, 68, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Jefferson, LA.
Interment will held in the church cemetery. Pastor Kyle Sylvester will officiate the services.
Sherline is survived by her mother, Irene Mallet Durio of Opelousas, LA; one son, Lonnie Durio, Sr. (Carlette) of Marrero, LA; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Bush of LaPlace, LA, Roseann Durio of Opelousas, and Sonya Renee Thibodeaux (Charles) of Church Point, LA; three brothers, Joseph Durio, Jr. of Kenner, LA, Arthur Durio of Port Barre, LA and Henry Durio (Mary) of St. Rose, LA; seven sisters, Perline Pierre (Harry) of St. Rose, LA, Letha Smith of Opelousas, LA, Delores Zachary of Dallas, TX, Annie Holmes of St. Rose, LA, Mildred Smith (Eldrick) of Opelousas, LA, Beverly Pickens of Opelousas, LA and Fannie Holmes (Clifton) of LaPlace, LA; a sister-in-law, Anna Rose Durio of Franklinton, LA; two uncles, JC Mallet of Starks, LA and Medrick Mallet of Waxia, LA, one aunt, Rosa Lee Harrison of Nuba, LA; six godchildren, Domonique Chanel Beverly, Colondra Denise Drew, Laura Ann Charles, Harry Pierre, Jr, and Patrena Trenell Sledge, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Sherline was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Durio, Sr.; two brothers, Leroy Durio, Sr. and Alvin Durio and a sister, Joanne Durio.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM until 1:15 PM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
