MacGREGOR, Gregor Carmichael Gregor C. (Sandy) age 83 died December 24th after battling renal cancer for six years. Sandy is survived by his wife Pat of 61 years. He was born in Dallas 8-29-32 to George Lescher MacGregor and Jean Edge MacGregor. He graduated from Highland Park High School and attended University of Texas where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He was a financial advisor with Smith Barney at retirement. Sandy enjoyed sports, chess, fishing and hunting his entire life, but his primary passions were for the Texas Longhorns, homing pigeons and race horses. He was active raising and racing pigeons since grade school and raced horses for 45 years. He was a member of Dallas Racing Pigeon Club, Texas Quarter Horse Association and Coon Creek Club. He is survived by his wife Patricia Dunlap MacGregor; three daughters Jean Ann Moster and Neal of Kansas City, Tricia Holland and Al of Dallas and Carol Rushmore and Paul of Wrangell, Alaska; grandchildren Cody Rushmore, Shelby Miller, Lauren Mattil, and Josh Mattil; great grandson Mason Rushmore; brother George Lescher MacGregor of Denver; nephew Michael MacGregor of Mansfield. Hook 'em Horns. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial service will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest on Wednesday Dec. 30th at 11:00am.
