Amabile "Mina" Kirkpatrick

Kirkpatrick, Amabile "Mina" Calistri Mina Kirkpatrick died March 1, 2011 in Duncanville, TX at the age of eighty-eight. She spent her youth in Florence, Italy, the city where she was born on January 8, 1923. During World War II, she met Maxwell Kirkpatrick, officer in the United States Army. They married July 25, 1945. She was preceded in death by her father, Paolo Calistri`, her mother, Carolina Boni`, and brother, Giorgio Calistri`, as well as her beloved husband, Maxwell. Survivors include her sister, Maria Grazietta Calistri`, daughter, Ines Eishen, wife of David Eishen, both of Duncanville, TX; daughter Claire Summers of DeSoto, TX, and son Paul Kirkpatrick and wife Mary of Colorado Springs, CO. Grandchildren are Helena Gehrmann Ray and husband Andy, of Riegelsville, PA; Lauren, Andrea, and Daniel Kirkpatrick of Colorado Springs, CO. Step-grandchildren are Ian Eishen, and and wife Ariel, and son Kayden; Caitlin Miller, husband Charley, and daughter Emily; Gretchen Eishen, Gwendolyn Eishen, Stefan Eishen, and Rosalyn Eishen. She will be remembered with great love for her deep Christian faith, charity, and love of her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A. M. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1111 W. Danieldale Rd, Duncanville 75137. Entombment at Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in DeSoto will be private for family only. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of Laurenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and the splendid and caring staff of Odessey Hospice, particularly Ann, Clara and Boomie.
