Charles Terry Burnley Sr.

BURNLEY, LT. CHARLES TERRY, SR., 72, passed away on April 16, 2003 in Dallas, Tx. Lt. Burnley was born on October 10, 1930 in Wills Point, Tx. Lt. Burnley was a longtime resident of Dallas, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Lt. Burnley spent his career in law enforcement. He started in 1955 as a patrolman with the Dallas Police Dept., he worked is way upto the rank of a Lieutenant. He was a Lieutenant in the homicide & intelligence divisions until his retirement in 1981. Lt. Burnley then worked for over 15 years with the Dallas Co. Sherriff's Dept. in the intelligence division, retiring in 2001. Lt. Burnley served as the President of the Dallas Police Association. He was preceded in death by his wife: Emma Burnley. Survived by Two Sons: Charles T. Burnley, Jr. of Irving, Tx., Terry Lee Burnley of Ft. Worth, Tx., Two Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 11:00a.m. at the D/FW National Cemetery. Chaplain Billy Combest officiating.
