Floyd Edwin Cook Sr.

COOK, SR., , MASTER SGT. FLOYD EDWIN 82, passed away on December 21, 2005 in his Irving home. Floyd was born on October 12, 1923 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Sunset High School. Upon his completion of high school he joined the U.S. Army Air Corp where he served and became of POW of World War II. Upon his release he joined the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, he retired in 1974 after 32 years of service to his country. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Floyd & Eunice Cook, Sisters: Pauline, Gladys and Opal, Brothers: Robert Lee, Henry and Skylar Marshall. He is survived by his longtime Best Friends and Caregiver: Doris Jones and her Son: Rodger Goolsby of Irving, Sister: Mary Edwina Karl of Duncanville,TX., Brother: Billy Mack Cook of Gainesville, GA., Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 23, 2005 at 2:00p.m. at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park of Dallas.
