Francis Harry Disiere

Disiere, Francis Harry Shreveport, LA - Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Francis Harry Disiere will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at St. John Berchmans Cathedral, Shreveport, LA., with Monsignor Earl Provenza officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at a private family cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7:00-9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Francis was born April 25, 1922, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the only son of father, Emile Francis Disiere and mother, Juanita Johnson Disiere. Graduating from Fair Park High School, Shreveport, LA, Mr. Disiere went to Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and then went on to graduate from Southern Methodist University earning a (MBA) Master in Business Administration degree. Shortly after the beginning of WWII, Francis joined the Navy and served his country in the Pacific War until 1946. For many years in the late 1950's and 1960's he taught school at Centenary College, SMU, and East Texas Baptist University in Marshall. Francis was a Lifetime Insurance Professional with Deep South Surplus. He was a member of the Shreveport Association of Independents Agents, Shreveport/Bossier Board of Realtors, was a lifetime member with the Lowe McFarland Post #14, as well as, 32° Scottish Rite and Master Mason JOPPA 362, and the El Karubah Shrine. Throughout his entire life he enjoyed hard work and loved to help other people anyway possible. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Audrey Warr Disiere, of 61 years who passed away in 2011. Francis is survived by his son, David Judd Disiere, and wife, Teresa Ellers Disiere, of Dallas, TX; step-daughter, Mary Lynn Howard, of Conroe, TX; grandsons, Hunter and Taylor Cardwell-Disiere, of Dallas, TX; and granddaughters Paige, Kristen, and Nicole Noble, all of Conroe, TX.
