Leon B. Withers Jr.(1935 - 2013)

Withers, Jr., Leon B. Born January 12, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas. Passed away May 4, 2013 in Dallas, Texas after a brief illness. Preceded in death by his parents, Leon B. & Rene C Withers. Leon lived in Richardson for many years. He was raised in Dallas, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He also graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in business administration and from SMU with a degree in accounting. He was a CPA who practiced accounting in Dallas for more than 50 years. Leon is survived by a daughter, Natalie Flowers of Austin; his brother, John H Withers and sister-in- law JoAnn Withers of Dallas; also, nephew, John Withers, Jr. and wife Mojgan, of Dallas; niece, Angela Meyer and husband Baker of West Chester, Ohio; niece, Elaine Lozano and husband Raymond of Dallas; seven grand nieces and grand nephews, and his dear and special friend, Ginger Kline of Dallas. A member of the Episcopal Church of The Transfiguration for more than 40 years, he enjoyed touring Texas and many other states with his motorcycle group on his big Honda Gold Wing. A memorial service will be held at the Transfiguration on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent in his memory to: Texas A&M Foundation, 401 George Bush Dr., College Station, Texas 77840.
