Nina Williams

Williams, Nina LaVonne died peacefully on October 27, 2012 surrounded by family and friends after a valiant fight with cancer. She was 41. Nina was born on December 29, 1970 in Hope, Arkansas to Beverly LaVon Burrell and Clifford Ray Williams. Nina was a 1989 graduate of Plano East Senior High School. She received an Associate degree from El Centro College and also from Richland College. Nina worked as a LVN for many years. She pursued her life's dream of becoming a RN until she no longer could due to her health. She was a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship church in Richardson. Nina loved to travel and to dance, but she found her greatest joy being a loving Mom, entertaining family and friends and charming them with her captivating smile and sense of humor. Nina is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Hazel Williams; maternal grandmother, Christine"Tootsie" Nelson and sister, Brittany Williams. Nina is survived by: sons, Adam Williams, of Rowlett, Aden Thomas "Tommy" Peoples, of Irving; daughter, Areanna McKyer, of Garland; mother Beverly Jorden (Willie D) of Mesquite; father, Clifford Ray Williams of Dallas; brother, Bryan Williams of Mesquite; sisters, Tamara Standberry of Plano; Andrea Thomas (Will) of Forney; Jennifer Williams of Mesquite, and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 2 from 7-8:30pm at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church, 1020 S. Sherman Street, Richardson 75081. Funeral 11:00 am Saturday, November 3 at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church, Dr. Leslie W.Smith, Officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Heavenly Gate Funeral Service, 972-240-2121. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nina's name to Sisters Network at http://www.sistersnetworkdallas.org/ or the Breast Cancer Support Group of your choice.
