Robert Early Booth

ROBERT EARLY BOOTH 1954 - 2013 Robert Early "Bobby" Booth went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2013. A beloved husband, father, and brother, Bobby embodied selflessness and generosity. He was a bright light that illuminated the best in each of us. Bobby was a devoted father to his two children, son Stuart, a physician in Birmingham, Alabama, and daughter Peyton who followed her father into architecture. Step-son Clint is a sophomore at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. A doting husband, Bobby supported his wife Terrie's desire to compete nationally with the American Quarter Horse Association, and himself became an admirer of equestrian sports. A principal at HKS architects in Dallas, Bobby was the youngest to be elevated to partner in the firm's history. Ever punctual, Bobby lived up to his middle name, graduating a year early from Texas Tech's fiveyear architecture program. His entire professional career was spent with HKS, and he was instrumental in building the company into the internationally recognized firm it is today. Bobby served as principal-incharge of projects in more than 104 cities and 16 countries. Bobby's philanthropy and character were well known throughout our community. He and Terrie were devoted to many causes, but were most passionate about their work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, an organization that grants Wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. In 2008, Bobby and Terrie served as Honorary Chairs for the annual Wish Night gala and fundraiser, which raised more than $1,021,000 and supported more than 170 wishes that year. Bobby was born April 16, 1954 in Longview, Texas. He is survived by his wife Terrie Brewer Booth of Dallas, Texas; his son James Stuart Booth of Birmingham, Alabama; his daughter Peyton Booth of Dallas, Texas; his step-son Clint Ator of Dallas, Texas; his brother Stuart Lee Booth of Longview, Texas; his sister Leanne McCarty of Plano, Texas; and sister Victoria Booth of Colorado. Bobby had two precious grandchildren, Maddie and Alex Booth. Bobby was preceded in death by his father Talmadge Booth and mother Frances Booth of Longview, Texas. A memorial service was held Friday, August 23 in Dallas. Stories, photos and remembrances are welcome at www.forevermissed.com/BobbyBooth/
