Stanley Wilson

Wilson, Stanley Allen Born August 18, 1961 in Dallas, Texas. He passed to eternal life May 20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Wilson. Stan is survived by his wife of twenty years, Jenny; two sons, Noah and Luke; mother, Nell Pressly Wilson; sister, Teri Martin and her husband, Dean of Fort Worth; brother, Ken Wilson and his wife, Kristi of Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Brittany and Tyler Wilson, and Cyndi and Jacob Martin. He was a 1979 graduate of Lake Highlands High School, continuing his education Stan obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984. He joined the Dallas Fire Department in February 1985 where he served for 28 years, the last 20 of which were at Station 53. Stan met Jenny Reeves, the love of his life, in 1990, and they married in 1992. He was a devoted husband and father to their two boys, active in every aspect of their lives, including serving as quartermaster for Boy Scout Troop 890. He enjoyed worshipping with his family at Park Cities Baptist Church. Known for his sense of humor, his strong faith in Jesus Christ, and his love for his family, Stan was quick to respond to anyone in need. He died as he lived, giving his life for others. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue, in Dallas. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Park Cities Baptist Church 3933 Northwest Parkway Dallas, Texas 75235. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made to: Scholarship Fund in Memory of Stan Wilson, Lakewood Presbyterian School, 7020 Gaston Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75214; In Memory of Stanley Wilson, Boy Scouts of America, Circle Ten Council, 35726, Dallas, Texas 75235. Stan's family wishes to express gratitude for the support given by the Dallas Fire Department, the Dallas Police Department, and the entire community.
