W. R. Bozeman

W. R. 'Gnat' Bozeman moved from Alabama to Irving in 1962, raised his family here and retired from the Irving Healthcare Foundation. As an Eagle Scout Mr. Bozeman learned early the value of civic involvement and charity work, which he exemplified throughout his life. Irving Jaycees, YMCA, Boy Scouts of America, Irving Arts Center, Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, Irving Rotary Club, and the Baylor Irving Healthcare System and Foundation are just a few recipients of his tireless philanthropy. Gnat was a trusted friend, father, and husband whose legacy will not be forgotten. Mr. Bozeman is survived by Patty Bozeman, his wife of 35 years; children--Ray and Lisa Bozeman of Albany, Georgia; Erin and Jules Yacho of Irving; Adam and Elizabeth Bozeman of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 28th at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the following are appreciated: Our Children's House at BaylorIrving, 3337 Stovall Street 75061 or Plymouth Park United Methodist Church at 1615 W.
