My thoughts and prayers are with David's family. He was an inspirational mentor for me at Methodist hospitals of Dallas and I will always treasure the many things that I learned from this brilliant and caring man. His dedication to serving was unmatchable and will always serve as a guiding light for me.

He had the vision to improve medicine and recognized the importance of those who worked with him.
When I think about Methodist, I think about Mr. Hitt.
To his daughter with whom I worked, I am thankful for having known him.

David and Cathy, we are so sorry to hear about this - also sorry we have lost touch over the years. Just this past week we were wondering about you and Cathy. Your Dad and mom were our favorite aunt and uncle. We greatly admired both - and of course your mom was my mom's favorite sister. Hope you remember us, I'm sure you will... your cousins; David,Bob,Bill and Joe Davidson. [email protected]

Love You.

Sincere condolences on David's passing.
He was an outstanding leader of the Methodist Hospital System of Dallas, as well as many other health and charitable organizations in the community. His service will be missed.
May God Bless David and the Family.

So sorry to hear about David's passing. PawPaw and MawMaw Pugh always looked forward to his arrival for the Pugh family reunion each year. He was a compassionate and caring man. He never forgot his family roots. May God give you peace in knowing he lived his life in service for others. He followed the mission set forth by Jesus Christ.

Dear David and Kathy,
I feel privileged to have known your father growing up. Mr. Hitt always greeted me with a sweet smile and hello when I saw him. I was in awe of him as a gentle giant when I was a little girl. He, as well as your mother, were very tolerant of our games and antics inside and outside your home. I consider myself very blessed to have been able to have your family as neighbors on Hillgreen and Twin Tree. You were kind and gentle taking care of him. I am sure you will miss him terribly and pray for you and your families for sweet memories and cherished times.
