James Harold Rascoe

RASCOE, JAMES HAROLD passed away August 21, 2002, at his home near Terrell. The son of Willie Theodore & Myrtle Simmons Rascoe, he was born July 6, 1932, in Royse City and lived in Mesquite prior to moving to Terrell 25 years ago. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean Conflict, and was employed as Purchasing Agent for Parrish-Hare. On November 25, 1980, he married Mary Wanell Parks and is survived by his wife, Mary Wanell Rascoe of Terrell; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Rascoe, Mesquite; Billy Joe & Linda Rascoe, Sulphur Springs; James Watson, Trinidad; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Charlie Brokmeyer, New Ulm; Jana and Jerry Wood, Bellville; Tammy Hamilton, Goldsboro, NC; brother, Gerald Rascoe and wife, Peggy of Claridon; sister, Juanita Stevens and husband, Clyde of Canton; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Billy Joe Rascoe; and sister, Wanda Smith. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Goggans Funeral Home in Terrell at 10 AM, Saturday, August 24, 2002, with Fire Dept. Chaplain Denny Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. Visitation is scheduled at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M., Friday, August 23.
