I am praying for the family Reuben was a good neighbor and brother in Christ. He will be missed, he would stop and chat on his way to or from church walking through the alley. We all will have to make this journey and he has arrived to his final destination.

I am not sure where to begin to tell you all what Ruben meant to me. You see our friendship has lasted close to 40 years and that in itself says a lot. Ruben was my brother in every matter that counts. We shared our life being the best of friends. When one of us was hurting the other would be there and that's the way it was. My heart ache because I know I will not see him on this side again but my heart also rejoices in the fact that I know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. My dear friend is truly resting with our Heavenly Father. To Mrs. Asberry, Ruben Jr and Tav I am here and will be here for you all. I love you and just know that earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal. I love you all.

May God bless the family with peace and comfort. I grew up with the Asberry family. I lived at 4230 Easter and used to walk home from school with Reuben. We remained friends over the years. He lived a wonderfully blessed life. Always positive. Reuben take your rightful place in glory. Best Regards, Sheila Anderson Webb.

If tears could build a stairway,
And memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
