Cook, Bertha Faye MESQUITE - Bertha Fay Cook, 86, of Mesquite, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2012 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde. Burial will follow in the Eula Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cook was born November 20, 1925 in Robstown, Texas to Joe and Alva Magee. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin as a Registered Pharmacist. Mrs. Cook practiced pharmacy for 50 years, to include working for Fazios Pharmacy and Doctors Hospital in Dallas. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She loved reading the Bible, Praising God; giving to the poor. Her hobbies included growing flowers, feeding the birds and she was a member of First Baptist Church, Dallas. Mrs. Cook was a Godly Mama who has gone up to be with her King! Mrs. Cook is survived by two daughters, Debbie Scarbrough and husband Don of Garland and Kimberly Bodei and husband Michael of Mendham, New Jersey; two sons, Chuck Cook and Doug Cook both of Krum, Texas; six grandchildren, Ashley Scarbrough, Jordan, Lauren, Tori and Ally Cook, and Madison Bodei and one great granddaughter, Zoey Clearman.
