Paula & Chip. What a shock when I heard at a Sterchi family reunion last week that Charles had passed away. It has been a long time since we were in touch but I remember with fondness all the good times I had with Charles at SMU and later when you, Paula, with Charles would come visit us in New Mexico.

Charles is a legend at SMU and I, along with his teammates will miss him greatly.

Our love to both you and Chip,

Jule & Bob Sterchi

Thanks for ALL of the memories Charlie.

Your skill, determination and teamwork will never be forgotten by those of us who watched you play at SMU and Dallas.

But even more than that, I remember the stories and the laughter we shared during many conversations in the A-Dorm. I remember the many "highs" we shared, like SMU's playoff win against Texas in Waco and perhaps one of the greatest lows, our loss to Houston in the Midwest Regionals that marked the end of your college career as well as Doc's legendary coaching career.

Through it all, good times and bad, you always were willing to answer any question I had for you and, for that, I always will be grateful.

Charlie, you were a fantastic basketball player, a tremendous teammate, but, most of all, you were a gentleman and a credit to your family.

You will be missed, #23...God Bless you and your family.

My sympathy to the Beasley family. I so enjoyed watching Charlie play basketball for SMU in the 1960's. He was always one of my favorites! May he rest in peace.
