Mr. Albert Isaiah Record, Sr. July 26, 1938 â€" January 18, 2012 Albert Isaiah Record, Sr., 73, was born to the parentage of the late Arthur Record and Ludean West-Record on July 26, 1938 in Dallas, Texas. He was the youngest of seven children. Albert made his transition to Glory on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was a product of Dallas ISD where he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1957. He was a very faithful and diligent employee at any job he ever had. He started working at Pappy Dad's BBQ where he began to learn his trade of the barbecue business. He also worked at Pollock Paper for many years. In 1969, God blessed him with the wisdom, knowledge, and talent to be the founder of the famous "Record's Barbecue" 2405 S. Lancaster Rd. in Dallas, where he worked until his health declined. However, he continued to provide professional guidance. Many sought his expertise and he always assisted where he could. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers and one grandchild. He leaves to cherish his legacy of memories: A loving wife of 55 years Barbara, six children; Felecia Whitten (Robert), Loquita Record, Edith Record-Frazier (Victor), Rotunda Record, Kebra Record, Albert Record Jr., 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws; Viola and Bessie Record, and a host of family and friends.
