Andersson, Alf Stefan Stefan Andersson, 59, passed away on June 9, 2013 in his home in Houston due to unforeseen circumstances. Stefan is survived by his sisters Anneli Andersson, Gothenburg, Sweden, and Marie Andersson Bremberg, Mariefred, Sweden, along with four nieces and a brother-in-law. Stefan was born in Västerås, Sweden. He attended Uppsala University, where he majored in pharmacology, and then went on to earn a doctors degree. He relocated to Dallas, Texas, to pursue a lifelong career in medical research. Most of his time was spent at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, with a short stint at Merck & Co., NJ, in the nineties. The final years he worked at University of Houston, at the Center for Nuclear Receptors & Cell Signaling. Stefan will be remembered for an amazing sense of humor, honesty, a brilliant mind, and above all love and generosity. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends around the world. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday June 29, 2:00 pm at The Wine Therapist, 1810 Skillman St. Dallas, TX.
