Scott, Barbara Denette Hibbert Barbara Denette Hibbert Scott, 74, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her home in Laguna Hills, CA. She was born to James and Gardenia Hibbert on Sept. 12, 1938, in El Paso, TX, and she was a graduate of El Paso High School and North Texas State University. Barbara lived in Grand Prairie, TX, for almost 40 years. She taught several years at Adams Middle School, was the owner of several travel agencies and travelled extensively throughout the world. She was also highly involved in community activities serving as president of the Grand Prairie Women's Club and president of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. She lived the last 15 years in Laguna Hills, CA., and was active in the Christopher Reeve Foundation and the Assistance League of Laguna Beach. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Katherine May, first husband Ralph Sargent, and nephew Jim Hibbert. She is survived by her husband, Bob, son R.T. Sargent, daughter Jennifer VanDerVeen and husband, Steve, daughter Jackie Scott, brother Conrad and wife Kathy Hibbert, 5 grandchildren, numerous cousins, and many close loving friends. Barbara will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, La Union, NM.
