Betty Norvell Obituary

Norvell, Betty Jo "Vinson" Betty Jo "Vinson" Norvell was born April 7, 1928 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Horace B. Vinson and Rachel Alice Chenault Vinson. Betty passed May 31, 2011 at Rambling Oaks Courtyard Assisted Living in Highland Village, Texas at the age of 83. She married Charles Eugene "Gene" Norvell on Dec. 28, 1945 in Dallas and lived in Dallas until Gene passed away Nov. 1, 1996. She is survived by son Jerry Norvell and wife Eddie, daughter Sherry Ridinger and husband Gene; granddaughter's, Jill Kruger and husband Jeff, Crystal Mize and husband Rodney, Terra Tallas and husband Brady; great-grandkids Madison, Tyler and Lanie Kruger and Reydin Wyrick; nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. "Gene" Norvell, a daughter Bettye Jean "Chigger" Norvell Thate, mother and father, three sisters and one brother. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank Rambling Oaks Courtyard in Highland Village, Faith Hospice and Mercy Hospice for their continued love and care for mother.
