David Paul Roper passed away on September 4, 2012 at the age of 88. He was a very loving, supportive husband, father and grandfather. David lived a full life and didn't believe in regrets. As a World War II veteran, an accomplished musician, music and band teacher, home builder, and Christmas tree farmer, it never occurred to him that there was something he couldn't do. He worked hard, enjoyed life and always had a smile and kind word for everyone he met. He was truly loved and will be missed by his family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Jane and faithful pet Charlie; daughters, Robin Zavitkovsky and husband Karl, Jennifer Fishback and husband Tom, Deanna Liebl and husband Bob, Vanessa Viviano and husband Jim; grandchildren, Jeff Zavitkovsky and wife Shannon, Frank Zavitkovsky and wife Melanie, Michelle Gummer and husband Ryan, Jason Woods, Cole Fishback and fiancée Anni, Mogen Keane and husband Michael, and Alessandra Viviano; great-grand-children, Grant, Ryan and Jack Zavitkovsky. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring David through a donation to the ASPCA in his name. Online at www.aspca.org or by phone at: 1-800-628-0028.
