Hunstable, Fred ARLINGTON -- Fred Mortimer Hunstable, born May 19, 1922, in Dallas, Texas, peacefully left this world on Friday evening, March 25, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Mass Tuesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at St. Maria Goretti with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Arlington Funeral Home. Fred was the son of Fred Mortimer Hunstable and Amelia Mae Williamson Hunstable, Fred attended Mesquite schools and North Texas Agricultural College, before graduating from Southern Methodist University in 1950. During World War II, he served in the Navy from 1942 until 1946. In 1985, Fred retired from the University of Texas at Arlington as Assistant Director of Housing. A long time resident of Arlington from 1964 until the present, Fred attended Saint Maria Goretti Church. We will miss his avid curiosity, his kind and gentle spirit and his great love for his family and land. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John and Robert, sisters, Marcelia Box, Angelina Nelson and Emily Coley. Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Juanita Konderla Hunstable, the love of his life; 10 children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Broyles; brother, Charles and numerous family and friends.
