ANDERSON, I.E. (ANDY), 82, Denton died Wednesday at home. He was born Nov. 18, 1919 in DeSoto to Rollie & Georgia Misemer Anderson. He attended Duncanville Public Schools. He married Claudene Nash, April 16, 1954 in Forney; she preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 1999. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Denton where he was a Deacon, life member of the I.O.O.F., former president of the Breakfast Optimist and was a founding member, Texas Police Chiefs Association. During his career he was the Police Chief for the City of Denton from 1957 to 1964 and the Police Chief for the Texas Woman's University, Denton from 1966 to 1970. He was the owner of the A & A Burglar Alarm Co. here in Denton. The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Friday night from 7 to 8:00 p.m. for visitation. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, First Baptist Church, Denton, burial at Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton. Survivors: daughter Debra & husband Mike Patterson of Denton, son, Rickey & wife Ila Anderson of Walters OK, 4 grandchildren; Chad, Janet, Austin and Lacey Anderson of Walters OK. brothers, Ollie Anderson of Florence AL, Gene Anderson of Dallas and preceded in death by brother Ernest Anderson of DeSoto.
