Kurz, Isabelle "Izzy" Brydon Born September 20, 1920, in Dallas, Texas to Russell John Brydon and Pauline Anderson. A life-long resident of East Dallas, Isabelle was called home by her Lord on February 17, 2013. Izzy, as she was known to her countless friends, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Southern Methodist University. After 38 years with Lakewood Bank and Trust (now Wells Fargo Bank), Izzy retired to enjoy continued travel with her husband of 67 years, Edmund Vincent Kurz, with whom she was an active and long-term member of Scofield Memorial Church. Throughout her full life, Izzy regularly witnessed her Christian faith to friends and strangers alike, sharing the good news of salvation through the Holy Gospel. Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Russell, Jr. and Albert, Izzy is survived by her sister-in-law Gloria Turquette Brydon, as well as her nephews and their families: Russell J. Brydon III; Albert Brydon, Jr., his wife Kathy, and their children Carolyn and Charles; and Donald Brydon, his wife Karen, and their children Krystle, Jonathon, and Megan. A celebration of Izzy's life was held at Scofield Memorial Church, 7730 Abrams Road (between Fair Oaks Avenue and Royal Lane), Dallas 75231-3902, at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, February 22, 2013. If desired and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to the ministries of Dr. Charles Stanley (http://www.intouch.org/) or Scofield Memorial Church (at the address provided above).
