Memories and Condolences
for Jeffrey Oakes

Not sure what to say?

We knew Jeff since the late 80s. He was a friend and employee in our office for many years. His booming personality made him a favorite for many patients and he made many life long friends just through those contacts. He was an unforgettable character who left a large footprint where ever he went. He will be missed by many. Godspeed Jeffrey. Rick & Katie Corlett

There is much to say about Jeff and words cant describe the man you just had to know him. He will always hold a spot in my heart and my prayer's and love go out to all.

My friend Jeff, Asked me to drive for him and to represent "BROAK Racing" some 7-8 years ago. When he asked me, I told him "I would be glad to do so". Jeff provided the powerplant and I drove my tail off at that race. I had the best time ever with my engine tuner that day. My buddy, Jeff will be dearly missed, I miss him already. As for for his direct family: Jeff was an ICON for me, a remarkable role model. I will always remember my good friend, Jeff.

Deepest Sympathy

Dear Sally and Laurie;
I am so sorry for your loss. I just couldn't believe it. Karen Singleton called me this afternoon to let me know. We both wish we would have known sooner. I would have been there today. Jeff was my first love, I often wonder how different my life would be if I had said yes and married him. But we were so young. We weaved in and out of each others lives for years. recently I was trying to find him on facebook,hoping he might be there somewhere, to just touch base, I am so shocked, I will miss him even more now. His long dark curls, beautiful eyes, and I loved to watch him play the drums. oh the simple days of youth, drum corps holds so many wonderful memories, for me the richest is Jeff.
At first I wasnt sure what to say, but I know what Jeff would say;
"C'est La Vie". You are all in my thoughts and prayers, he will be greatly missed

My memories of Jeff...will be with me forever! Being with Laurie and Jeff on Dorchester Road in Lockport, we had some great times. We had great times in the Shawnee Drum & Bugle Corps! I lost touch with them when we grew up, but I always thought of Jeff and Laurie everyday when I drove down Dorchester Rd.
My heart goes out to Sally and Laurie during this sad time, may you know that I care and will never forget you all.

I lived across the street from Jeff during the 1960's. What a wonderful time to be a kid on Dorchester Road in Lockport! Lots of great memories building forts & tree houses and riding bikes in the summer and snow coastering, sledding and ice skating in the wintertime. Jeff was always such a happy kid and lots of fun to be around. He was one of my best childhood friends and I am so sad that his life on earth ended much too soon. Perhaps God was short one really good drummer in Heaven's Drum Corp.

My deepest sympathy is extended to Jeff's mom Sally (who was always extremely kind to me) and his sister Laurie as well as his other relatives and many friends.
