Tracy, Judith Lucille Kuchera Judi was born in Patterson New Jersey on February 27, 1947 and died Sunday April 21, 2013. She is survived by her mother Lucille Kuchera, her son Andrew and wife Iris, daughter Jamie and husband Joe, grandchildren Ashley, Christopher, Julie, Kenny, Joshua, and Justin, great granddaughter Arianna, sisters Karen, Lu, and Andra. Judi completed her nursing degree at St. Luke's Nursing College. She became a military nurse and served in Viet Nam where she met her husband Matt. After their military service, they moved to San Antonio where Matt completed his studies to become an Episcopal Priest. They moved to the Dallas area and served at several churches. Judi was blessed with her 2 children, Andrew and Jamie. She juggled the jobs of nurse, teacher, Mom, and priest's wife with joy. She was a bright spirit, always looking for the good in others. She put up a courageous fight with cancer. Her faith in God never waned. She was a long time member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church where Matt served as Rector until his death in 2002. Judi served on the vestry, Daughters of the King, Altar Guild, and Choir. She was Assistant Director, lead teacher, and school nurse at the Montessori School. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 10:00 am at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 7900 Lovers Ln. at Central Expressway. The Rev. Larry Murphy will officiate. Her good friend, The Rev. Freda Brown will deliver the Homily. Judi requested a "Thanksgiving to God" celebration in the parish hall following the service with everyone she loved. Memorials may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
