Yost, Lois Lois Yost, 82, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2103 of kidney failure and pneumonia, peacefully surrounded by her family. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to all who knew and loved her. Lois was born in Syracuse, New York on May 8, 1930 to Samuel and Betty Rosenberg. She graduated from Nottingham High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, Marvin Yost, on May 20, 1956. Lois and her family moved to Dallas in September, 1972. Lois and Marvin shared a passion for travel, making friends around the world on the twenty-one cruises they took together. Her biggest joy in life was cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. She was a member of Hadassah, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. Lois enjoyed bowling, tennis and mahjong and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Her loving memory will be cherished by her husband Marvin, daughter Cindie and husband David Kurtz, grandchildren Stephen, Amy and Rebecca Kurtz, as well as the non- family members who loved her as their own. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 am, Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX.
