ALLEN, LUCILLE ROBINSON BAILEY was born to Mary E. Bowdy and Matt Robinson on September 8, 1906 in Cameron, Texas. To this union eight children were born six girls and two boys. Her mother remarried to Monroe Bailey to this union seven children were born - two boys and five girls. Lucille joined the Baptist church at an early age where she remained in the church faithful until her health failed affecting her attendance in church. Her family moved to Garland in 1916. She was educated in Garland ISD. Her mother, father and 14 Siblings preceded her in death. One sister remaining, Mattie Harper, 98 years old, lives in Los Angeles California. Lucille met and married Lunas Allen in 1927 to this union was born six children 3 sons and 3 daughters, Lunas, Jr., Frank J., and Bobbie Nell, preceded her in death and one son and two daughters, Charles E. Allen (Mary), Rubye L. Mayes (Clarence) and Betty D. Douglas (Walter) are living. 16 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 38 great-great grandchildren, 7 great great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends remain to honor her legacy and life. Family will receive friends from 7-8 pm at Lincoln Funeral Home. Funeral Service Saturday 2:00 pm, Lincoln Funeral Home Chapel.
