Cox, Maco Gaines passed away peacefully on Feb.12, 2013 at 97. She was born to Maggie and Dick Gaines of Rockwall, TX. On April 9, 1915. She is survived by her son, Bill Cox, brother, E.O. Gaines and wife Gussie, and many nieces and nephews. On her 85th birthday, she was honored by the City of Rockwall with a Maco Gaines Cox Day and Gov. George Bush commissioned her an Admiral of the Texas Navy. She was baptized and married to Bill Cox in the First Methodist Church of Rockwall. Maco lived her faith in her contacts with others. A graduate of TWU, this incredible woman was truly an inspiration to all who knew her. The Texas Senate honored her as a "Treasured Citizen." In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the
