Warner, Robert Craig Robert Craig Warner was born June 8, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas and departed this earthly life on March 24, 2012. Craig was a man of faith, salt of the earth, true Texan. He accomplished much in his life, but was most proud of his precious daughter, Page. An avid Red Raider, Craig received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech in 1982 and graduated from UT School of Law in 1986. He began his law career in Dallas and was with the firm of Glast, Phillips & Murray, P.C. at the time of his death. He was highly regarded as an attorney with great integrity. Craig married Sherilyn Slaton on June 18, 1983. Craig loved his ranches, the outdoors, tailgate parties, hunting, fishing and his dog, Sam, who was named after his hero, Sam Houston. His dry sense of humor was one of his most endearing traits. This incredibly humble man was above all a loving husband, caring father, loyal friend, and giver of sound advice. Craig appreciated every day God gave him and lived out Psalms 118:24, "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." On the day the Lord called him home, Craig was doing what he loved, working on his ranch. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coppell where he served on the building committee and as a dedicated volunteer at the Austin Street Shelter. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of Delta Sigma Pi. Craig is survived by wife, Sherry, daughter, Page, mother, Sara England, a special sister-in-law, Margaret Kelley and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services are under the direction of Restland Coppell Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Robert Craig Warner Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Texas Tech Foundation, P.O. Box 41081, Lubbock, TX. 79409-1081.
