Christal, Rogers ("Casey") Delano was born Feb. 11, 1938 and passed away August 8, 2008. He was in born in Dallas to Roy Cecil Christal and Albinh Stuchcy Christal. Both preceded him in death. Rogers retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1993 after more than 30 years of service. He was an avid railroad enthusiast his entire life. He traveled the U.S. riding and photographing trains of all kinds. He also was a model train collector and assembled a massive collection. For 36 years Rogers was a member of The Masonic Fraternity. He served as Master of Trinity Valley Lodge #1048 as well as many offices in the Chapter, Council & Commandery of Yorkrite. Rogers was a Scottish Rite Mason as well, serving many years on the bus boys committee. Rogers spent many hours in the last few years enjoying bluegrass music with friends at Paula Sue's Diner. Rogers was thankful to all of the wonderful nurses & doctors at Presbyterian Village North. Visitation will be held on August 12th from 6pm to 8pm at Ed C. Smith & Bros. Funeral Home 4419 Samuell Blvd. A funeral service will be on Wed. August 13th at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. John Heidt officiating.
