Rosalie Weir Obituary
Weir, Rosalie Scottino Rosalie Scottino Weir - June 19th, 1939 - July 30th, 2013. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, devoted nurse, fantastic cook and everybody's angel. Rosalie Scottino Weir was born June 19th, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to parents Charles and Madeline Scottino. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Thomas C. Weir, and their eight children, Gianna Byrd, Andrew Weir, Camille Semprun and husband Anthony, Dominic Weir, Mary Madeline Arredondo and husband Reyno, Vincent Weir, Rosemary Coursey and husband Corey, and Tommy Weir. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Weir, Mary Jo Chreene, Doni Scottino, and brothers Vincent Scottino, and Joey Scottino (deceased) as well as eight grandchildren who adoringly called her Nana. Rosie always put the needs of her family and others first, and many considered her their best friend. She was loved and respected by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a tireless work ethic, running several businesses with her husband, and caring for newborns for 25 years as a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital. Rosie and Tom's home was always filled with family and friends. Rosie was especially proud of her Italian heritage and will always be remembered for her legendary Sunday spaghetti dinners, where everyone was welcomed. A rosary will take place at 7:30, Thursday August 1st at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday August 2nd, at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave. Dallas, TX 75214. Burial at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
