Aguilar Jr., Reuben Perez Reuben Aguilar, 62, of Irving, TX, died at his residence on February 12, 2012. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on July 2, 1949 to Reuben Perez and Winnie Lee Aguilar Sr. in Dallas, Texas. He attended North Dallas High School and the University of Texas in Austin where he was a proud and loyal member of the Longhorn Band. For years he was a restaurant manager in the Dallas area, managing locations like "Popeye's" and "Rudolfo's". Hobbies included war gaming, "Scrabble" and crossword puzzles. He was a devoted master to his Basset Hound "Charlie" and he was ok with "Sweet Pea". Survivors include his wife, Christine Holland Aguilar; son Reuben Andrew Aguilar; brothers Edward Barnett, Rafael Aguilar, Richard Aguilar, Refugio Aguilar and Robert Aguilar; sisters Rebecca Silvas, Rachel Kruse Briggs and Rita Buda; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Amber Christine Aguilar. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February, 16, 2012 at 12:00 pm "Noon" at Sparkman/Hillcrest North Highway Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2011 at the Funeral Home.
