Sender Fleschler

Fleschler, Sender 87, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2009, after a long illness. Born December 10, 1921, in Zamosc, Poland, he was a Holocaust Survivor. He and Sala, his beloved wife of over 61 years, immigrated to Dallas in 1950. He worked for Sanger-Harris, Titches, and Joskes until his retirement. They were members of Congregation Shearith Israel since their arrival in Dallas. He loved his synagogue and being with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Shmuel and Hana Fleschler and his 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Sala, and his two sons and their families, Sammy Fleschler and his wife Dr. Robin Fleschler of Houston, Texas, and Dr. Mark Fleschler and his wife Diane Fleschler of Dallas, Texas. Grandchildren: Dr. Melissa Peskin and her husband Martin Peskin, Dr. Heather Fleschler, and Lindsay Fleschler of Houston, Texas. Michelle Berger and her husband Douglas Berger of St. Louis, Missouri, Jonathan Fleschler of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lauren Fleschler of Dallas, Texas. Sender's sweet disposition and ever-present smile will be missed by all who knew him, but will remain in our hearts forever. He always put his family before himself. Funeral services to be held on Monday, January 5, 2009, at 2:00 pm. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel, Rabbi William Gershon, officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Martin Peskin, Douglas Berger, Jeffrey Rasansky, Jerald Rasansky, Charles Krovetz and Mitchell Rasansky. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert A. Harris Jr.M.D., Jeffrey H.
