Scott Jr., William Blair Passed away on March 16, 2013 in Dallas, Tx. He was born December 23, 1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma, son of Beth Taliferro and William Blair Scott. They moved to Houston where Blair spent his childhood, attending Lamar High school where he became the state diving champion. After graduation he served in the U.S, Army before attending and graduating from the University of Texas with a BS in Petroleum Engineering in 1958. While at UT he was on the diving team and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Blair worked in the oil industry his entire career-first with Western Natural Gas and Southland Royalty before starting his own consulting business which took him to Midland, Tx, Dallas, Tx and Lawton, Okla. He retired to Rockport, Tx in 1994 where he enjoyed his loves of fishing, hunting, golf and cheering on this UT sports teams. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret DeArman Scott and a sister, Jane Darcy. He is survived by his nephew Scott Darcy, wife Pat and great nephew Chris Darcy along with a multitude of long time friends. A private memorial service will be held later, but Blair's longtime wish will be carried out when his ashes are returned to Oklahoma and sprinkled over what is known as Mount Scott where his families original homestead is still located.
