Ackley, Pamela S. Pamela S. Ackley passed away October 31, 2010 at her home in Dallas, TX. Pam was born May 13, 1951 in Hutchinson, KS to Bob & Freda Rush. She graduated from Wichita State University in 1973. She married the love of her life, John, June 21, 1975 and moved to Dallas in July of the following year. She became a High School English Teacher at Bishop Lynch H.S. in 1978, where she also served as head of the English Department until leaving in 1984. As an active member of University Park United Methodist Church, Pam was much involved with her Wesley Covenant Group and she was a member of the Dallas Museum of Art and Women of Water Tower Theatre. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Milo Rush. Pam is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, John Ackley; sons, Robert E. Ackley & James T. Ackley; granddaughter, Brooklyn Ackley and many friends and cousins. Pam was an energetic loving woman who loved her family and community. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 at University Park United Methodist Church, 4024 Caruth Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75225, with Rev. Leighton Bearden officiating.
