There are no words to express the love the Tafalla family has shown me over the years. I hold the notion that I am family. In this time of loss I pray we all find some way to rejoice and celebrate a life truly lived to the fullest. Jesse Tafalla Sr. or Dad as I called him was admirable, strong, kind and caring. I would say I will miss his charm and wit, but his children carry it on in his behalf. Mom, I love you and hold you in my heart, always.

It doesn't seem like that long ago when you lived on Mayhew and Ned and I visited you and Jesse shortly as newlyweds. How full of life Jesse was (and will always be in my memories) as you all mentioned a trip to Mexico back then. I will miss his laugh, story telling, and happy eyes. It was always a pleasure to see Jesse and you at the fair. You were (are) both great mentors to our Hispanic community (myself included). You both fill up a room with delight and great energy. Jesse was such a great person; loving and giving of his time and energy to the community and others in need. I count myself blessed and privileged to have known such an humble person. May God give you and your family comfort and peace during this time in your life.

Nellie, I remember the time when you all lived on Mayhew, you and Jesse were such gracious hostesses. You both are mentors to your Hispanic community (myself included). What a blessing to have known Jesse. I will always remember the talks of a trip to Mexico when you all lived on Mayhew. Jesse was sooo friendly, outgoing, had a big heart, and very giving of his time and energy with so many activities. I will miss his laugh and smile and cheery eyes. You and your family are in my prayers as you grieve the loss of your friend and husband and great father of your children (and grandfather also.).
