SCHNEE, SHARON KAY TUNSTILL Sharon Kay Tunstill Schnee, 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, at her Broadmoor home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after a courageous battle with late detected, 4th stage cancer. Sharon was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 1, 1946, in Saint Joseph hospital. She attended Bluebonnet elementry, where she was active in Bluebirds, McLean middle school, where she sang in school productions like "The Belle of Baghdad", graduated from Paschal high school in 1964, where she won honors in distributive education, and attended Texas Christian University, where she studied fine arts, including dance and voice. For many years, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Sharon was the granddaughter of pioneer Texas oil operator William A. Tunstill Sr. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, William A. Tunstill Jr., and Kathryn Tunstill Latimer, and her beloved husband, Russell Schnee, with whom she found 20 years of happiness being a stylish Texas homemaker and gracious hostess. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 to be close to surviving family members, including her step-parents, Arthur and Ann Latimer, of Florissant, Colorado, and her brother, William A. Tunstill III, of Colorado Springs. A private memorial service will be held at Mountain View Mortuary in Colorado Springs.
