Lambert, Roy Born February 24, 1922 in Garland, Texas and passed away February 7, 2014 in Dallas. He graduated from Garland High School in June 1940 and began his 55 year career in banking with the First National Bank in Dallas on November 4, 1940. Roy enlisted in the United State Navy in October 1942, served in combat in the Pacific during World War II and was discharged in November of 1945. He returned to the First National Bank until his retirement in March 1977, as Senior Vice President/Cashier and Chief Operation Officer. Roy then spent the rest of his banking career with American National Bank & Founders National Bank, both in Garland. He was a graduate of the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin and served on the faculty and staff for 17 years. Roy was active in various civic and community activities over the years in his hometown of Garland. He is survived by a son, David Lambert; two grand-daughters, Sarah Lambert Klein and her husband, Matt of Dallas; and Elizabeth Lambert of Dallas; and two great-grandchildren, Carter & Molly Klein also of Dallas. A memorial service to celebrate Roy's life will be held Monday, February 17th, 2014 at Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church at 1:OO PM.
