Mayberry, Nan Snyder Jeffus Age 82, a resident of Irving since 1961, formerly of Atlanta Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 surrounded by her children at an Irving care center. She and her twin sister, Ann, were born April 26, 1931 in Elaine, Arkansas, the daughters of Romey Neal Snyder and Myrtle McCarty Snyder. Nan moved to Texas at age 9 and graduated from Hooks High School. On August 25, 1949, she married Rev. Billy Harvey Jeffus, Sr. in Bowie County; he preceded her in death in 1965. On October 29, 1988, she married Willis Mayberry in Irving; he preceded her in death in 1993. Also preceding her in death were, twin sister, Ann Hull; brothers, Wallace Henry Snyder, Charles Snyder and Romey Snyder, Jr.; and son, Billy "Bud" Harvey Jeffus, Jr. in 2010. Nan was employed at Texas Instruments in Dallas for 27 years, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Euless. A proud homemaker, pastor's wife, devoted mother, Biblical scholar, doting Mawmaw and cherished friend, Nan is survived by her children, Brenda Quicksall, Horace Neal Jeffus, Suzanne Knoll and Michael Keith Jeffus; brothers, Bobby Lee Snyder of Redwater, Guy Snyder of Galveston, Jack P. Snyder of Redwater and Paul Snyder of New Boston; sister, Eva Kinney of Ingleside; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Service is 3pm, Thursday, February 27 at First Baptist Church Euless, 1000 W. Airport Freeway, Euless with Dr. Jimmy Draper officiating. Graveside service will be 1pm, Friday at Bogata Cemetery near Clarksville, Texas.
