Dunn, Virgil Ivan Age 88 of Rowlett, TX, passed away March 7, 2014. He was born February 26, 1926 in White Cloud, KS, to Earl & Anna (Pratz) Dunn. Virgil served his country proudly in the United States Army/Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Decker Meats in Garland as an industrial engineer. Virgil was a member of First Christian Church of St. Joe, MO, Garland Masonic Lodge #441, Dallas Scottish Rite and the Hella Shriners. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years: Myrtle (Gilpin) Dunn of Rowlett, TX; children: Philipp Dunn & wife Traci of Rockwall, TX, Troy Dunn & wife Connie of Spring, TX, and Kevin Dunn of Conroe, TX; grandchildren: Hailey, Leah, Braeden, Miles, Chase, Mason, Erica, Walker, Larken and Parks; sister: Charlotte McManus; and brother: Don Dunn. Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters: Velma Ryan and Lamer Dunn. Funeral services will be held 2:30pm, Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall Chapel with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
