She later moved to Virginia where she married Charles Ritter and helped raise his three children for 10 years. Having a household of 7 children was a delightful challenge, "says Nedra". She met Gene in the single's Sunday school class at FUMC of Richardson. Actually, in 1952 Gene was an ROTC student at TCU and marched behind Nedra in the Stock Show Parade. Fate intervened and they did not meet until 1981 when Nedra returned to Texas. Nedra and Gene Francis have been married over 29 years.
