Wallof, Nancy Connell Nancy Connell Wallof was born on April 17, 1929 in Dallas, Texas. She married Paul G. Wallof, Jr. in 1949. They had two children Laura Ann and James Paul. Nancy grew up on Avalon Ave. in Lakewood. She also raised her family in Lakewood. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, Nancy went to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and later received her degree from SMU. She was a member of the DAR and the Delta Gamma Sorority. In the 1970's she started a 10 year career working at the Dallas Museum of Art. There she became the manager of the Museum's Gallery Buffet. Due to the popularity of her lunch soups and small museum kitchen, Nancy prepared her soups in her own home for two years giving real meaning to "homemade". After Nancy and Paul retired, they moved to Holly Lake Ranch in 1987 and enjoyed the country life. There Nancy loved playing golf and her weekly bridge games with friends. They moved back to Dallas in 2008 to be closer to family. Nancy and Paul both loved the beach and started planning the annual beach trip right after Christmas. Nancy loved the gulf views and cooking for friends and family. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents James S. Connell and Laura F. Connell, her sister Martha Connell Timm, and her husband of 65 years, Paul, Jr. Nancy is survived by her daughter Laura and husband Duff Edwards, of Dallas and son Jim and wife Paula Wallof, of Rowlett. Three grandchildren Jason Pappas and wife Ashley from Lake Highlands, Kevin Wallof of San Antonio and Stefan Wallof and fiancee Cassie Vogel, of Richardson, great grandchildren Addison Pappas and John Pappas, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Chapel of the Cross on 4333 Cole Ave in Dallas at 1:00 pm with reception following. Graveside services for family and friends following reception at Sparkman Hillcrest on Northwest Highway.
