The Guest Book is expired.

Love, Jane Eades Age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 and though she will be sorely missed we are comforted in knowing that although she is absent from the body she is present with the Lord. She was born in Central City, Ky., on March 15, 1920. Raised to be a concert pianist and an accomplished lady, Jane graduated from Christian College, Mo., with a music degree. On January 15, 1944 she married William "Bill" Duncan Love, an army dentist, and began a military wife's life of golf, bridge, travel, children, pets, Cub Scout den mother and leadership positions in the Officers Wives' Clubs and Ladies Golf Associations. While living in Seoul, Korea, she served on the Presbyterian Hospital Women's Board. Along the way, she became an outstanding Southern cook and hostess, and earned a Maryland real estate license. Settling in Dallas in 1973 upon Bill's military retirement, Jane, with her phenomenal memory, kept up with Bill, children, grandchildren, her mother, Bill's father, siblings and other relatives and friends. There was time to travel with Bill, often to golf destinations, and cruise the world. Jane also enjoyed college courses at UTD, garden club meetings, service to the Red Cross, horse races, plays, family reunions, Sundays at the First United Methodist Church of Richardson and leadership positions in the Prestonwood Country Club Golf Association. Shy by nature, she delighted in letting others shine, while she made their success possible. She guided her children by example, with love and kindness towards all, prejudice towards none (other than her bias for the "talents" of her children and Bill), and with the best Christian values. Just as she once saved Janie and Rob from drifting out to sea, she protected and steered us through the storms of life. And though we moved from place to place, she implanted the best of Kentucky, her home state, in our hearts and stomachs. Jane passed away three weeks after learning she had terminal lung cancer. She was preceded in death by parents, Ida and Herbert Leslie Eades (Central City, Ky.); parents-in-law, Oleta and MAJ. GEN Walter D. Love (Silver Spring, Md.); sister, Martha and Bill McClure (Garden Grove, Ca.); brother, Herbert "Bud" Leslie Eades Jr. (Louisville, Ky.); brother-in-law, Ed Gilbreath (Glen Lakes, Fla.); and sister-in-law, Jane and John Duffy (Silver Spring, Md.). She is survived by husband, Dr. Bill Love; daughters, Janie Wilson (Reno, Nev.); Kitty and Steve Massey (Fair Oaks Ranch, Tex.); son, Robert and Judy Love (Dallas); sister, Betsy Gilbreath ( Ga.); sister-in-law, Mary Jane Eades (Louisville, Ky.); 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and their children. A service of celebration will be held on Wed., April 16th at 12:30 PM at the Wildwood Chapel, Restland Memorial Park, Richardson TX, officiated by Jane's nephew, Rev. Doug Metzger. The family would like to thank Grace Hospice and nurses Molly Washington and Jean Claude Ndi for their loving care. In lieu of flowers contributions to Dallas Morning News Charities are suggested.
