Jones, Sarah Sarah Mitchell Jones, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born July 4, 1920 in Danville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Frank Walker Mitchell and Elza Logan Mitchell. She went to heaven peacefully on April 24, 2014.After graduating from Danville High school, Sarah left her parents' farm to live with her aunt, Sarah Mitchell Hyde, and her uncle, Glenn Cook Hyde. The Hydes loved Sarah dearly and treated her like their daughter. The Hydes encouraged Sarah to continue her education. She attended Ward Belmont for two years and graduated from Southern Methodist University. In 1957, Sarah married Herbert Mathis Jones of Chicago, Illinois. They raised three daughters and enjoyed 46 years of marital bliss. Together they had an active social life, including membership at the Dallas Country Club and several local dinner dance clubs. Sarah loved to travel. She had many fond memories of trips to Europe. Sarah was the joy of Herb's life and received his constant love and attention until his death on April 14, 2003. Sarah has been a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years. In her younger years, she was also an active member of the Dallas Woman's Club, the Garden Study Club of Dallas, and the Marianne Scruggs Garden Club. Sarah is survived by three daughters, two son-in-laws, and seven grandchildren. Her daughters and son-in-laws are Nancy Jones Murphey of Arlington, Sharon Jones Chapple and Ben Chapple of Dallas, and Kathryn Jones Constien and Mark Constien of Fort Worth. Grandchildren include Chas and Sarah Murphey, Caitlin and Bennett Chapple, and Kevin, Rachel, and Daniel Constien. The family gratefully acknowledges the wonderful kindness and care given to Sarah by her dear companion and caregiver Tiadora Gomez. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Wynne Chapel of Highland Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
