Wood, Bobby Dean Died April 25, 2014 in Dallas, TX. Bob was born in Richland Springs, San Saba County, TX on August 11, 1932 to Albin and Winnie Wood. He graduated from Richland Springs High School in 1950 and received his B.S. degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1954. He received his commission through the Navy ROTC program at UT and entered the United States Navy and served on the USS Breckinridge during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged as a LTJG in 1963. He was employed by the Atlantic Richfield Company as a landman in 1964 and later was Vice President and Trust Officer at the Mercantile Bank in Dallas. He married Ruth Smith in 1959 and was the proud father of three daughters, Kathy, Kerry and Kay. Divorced in 1994, Bob and Ruth remained friends. His family and friends were very important to him. He is survived by his daughters, Kathy and husband, Bob Barnett, Kerry and husband, Jim Hoffmans, Kay and husband, Greg Dowell; his sister, Nancy Looney; five grandchildren, Mark Barnett, Krista and Erika Hoffmans, Ashley and Jeremy Dowell; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He will be buried at Restland Memorial Park at a private family service. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
