Myrna Ehlers McCully Obituary
McCully, Myrna Ehlers Born in San Antonio, Texas on October 18, 1928. She attended Tech High School in San Antonio, graduating in 1945. She became a secretary and went to work at 16 years of age for the Government. She married John T McCully in January 1948. She continued to work until 62 years of age, taking some time off to raise Joan, John P and Mike. She regrets not attending College, however she has her PHT (Putting Him Thru) on both of John's Degrees. She worked in John's Law Office for 22 years, was by far the best secretary he ever had. She could type as fast as he could talk. .She loved traveling and went to 51 Countries, all 50 States and has been on all Continents. Her travels were cut short when she contacted Alzheimer's. She lived at Arden Courts in Richardson where she was treated as family. The nurse Alice and her crew and the attendants all went out of their way to make her comfortable during her stay. The Director Michael Knight, when she had a hip replacement had her brought back to Arden Courts rather than placing her in a rehab center. She was up on her feet in 3 weeks! She was admitted to Arden Courts in July 2011. She is survived by husband, John T Me Cully, and was the love of his life. Also surviving are sons, John P McCully, of Pecan Park Texas, Michael McCully of Dallas, Texas and a sister, Duane Denison of San Antonio and a brother, Darwin Norgard of New Mexico. Myrna died on May 7, 2014 with her family at her side. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday, May 9, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 12 PM at Restland Abbey Chapel.
