Hamilton, William Roderick Rod Hamilton, 62, entered the presence of his Lord on Monday, June 16, 2014. Services celebrating his life will be Thursday at 3:00 PM, July 10th at Sparkman Hillcrest Mausoleum East Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy. Born February 12, 1952 in Dallas to Juanita May Turner and William Norman Hamilton, he grew up in Park Cities (where he earned his Eagle Scout Award in the early 60's) and Preston Hollow, graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1970 and then Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX (BBA-1974) where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After college he received his MBA from Sam Houston University in 1976 and a Tech degree from Richland College. After being in the real estate and appraisal business in the Dallas area, he began his own computer tech business which he truly enjoyed. Rod had an amazing positive attitude throughout his battle with cancer for 14 years. He never let it get him down. He was such an inspiration to us all. He is survived by his father, William N. Hamilton (Bill); his sister, Deborah H. Tolson-Reeder (Debbie) and her husband, Michael E. Reeder; nephews, Cuatro (Ray S. IV) Tolson, Billy (William H)Tolson, niece, Christine Tolson; cousins, Gay Rainey, Wanda Wade Martinez, Alanna Wade Karel, Alicia Wade Brooks. Proceeded in death by his mother, Juanita Turner Hamilton; Uncle, Richard T. Hamilton and Brother-in-law, Ray S. Tolson III. Special thanks to UT Southwestern and the many doctors there who took excellent care of Rod as well as The Visiting Angels and Faith Presbyterian Hospice.
